Britney Spears Flashes New Engagement Ring?

Britney Spears appears to have become engaged to latest love Jason Trawick. The pop princess, 27, was seen flaunting a large diamond ring on the fourth finger of her left hand yesterday.

Dressed in a casual yellow top and ripped denim hotpants, the star appeared to be conscious of her new accessory, holding her hand at an angle in order to show it off.

She was looking happy and relaxed as she and Trawick, 37, stepped out together in Los Angeles yesterday, smiling, but refusing to confirm or deny the news.

The couple's relationship was only confirmed earlier this month, but the couple are believed to have been dating for several months. They made their first public appearance together at the end of May at a party for fashion designer Christian Audiger.

They were also spotted looking close on a Caribbean holiday last month, along with Britney's father Jamie, brother Bryan and sons Sean Preston, three, and Jayden James, two.

The troubled star's family are believed to have given the relationship their seal of approval after a string of failed relationships including paparazzo Adnan Ghalib and ex-husband Kevin Federline.

Confirming their romance, a source said: 'They are totally and definitely dating. Her dad loves him. He's the best thing that happened to her.' The source added that the pair were 'very sweet together', telling how Britney had 'always had a crush on Trawick', who is one of her brother Bryan's best friends.

'He makes Britney really happy, and he's great with the boys,' the source said.

Michael Jackson's Three Children Want To Stay With Grandparents

Michael Jackson's ex-wife's hopes of gaining custody of his two eldest children were dealt a blow today as it was revealed they want to move in with their grandparents. All three of the children, Prince, 12, Paris, 11, and youngest son Prince Michael II - known as 'Blanket' - are said to want to live with Joe and Katherine Jackson.

Sources cited by website TMZ.com said they will stay living with the couple at their home in Los Angeles. Jackson's family are said to be '100 per cent behind' the idea because it is felt the elderly couple are the only people who can help the three understand their father.

The three are in good health but 'miss their daddy', it claims. The site adds that they have 'no relationship' with Debbie Rowe, the biological mother of Paris and Michael.

The revelation sets the stage for a bitter legal battle over the singer's children to accompany the fight over his estate.

Miss Rowe, 50, is preparing to battle Katherine Jackson, 79, for custody, and has told friend she will fight 'tooth and nail' for their return.

The former nurse gave away her parental rights to Prince and Paris in exchange for a £4.2million pay-off ten years ago.

She has only seen the pair, who were conceived through artificial insemination, intermittently but believes she is more equipped to care for them than Katherine.

Madonna Bonds With Her Daughter Mercy James

Madonna was spotted giving her newly adopted daughter Mercy James, 4, a piggyback ride after attending services at the Kabbalah centre in London, England on Saturday (June 27).

Reports state that Mercy flew on a private jet from Malawi to London last week. An airport employee as well as another source said that Mercy left late Friday (June 19), accompanied by a nanny, a child nurse and another assistant.

Debbie Rowe To Get Custody Of Michael Jackson's Children

Debbie Rowe is poised to take full custody of the two children she bore for Michael Jackson.

It has been widely reported Debbie Rowe gave up her parental rights to Paris and Michael Jr. That is not true. During the custody fight that Rowe had with Jackson in 2005, she attempted to give up her parental rights, saying Michael was the greatest father ever.

Retired Judge Stephen Lachs, who presided over the hearing, initially ruled her rights were terminated ... but then Lachs reversed his decision.

Lance Spiegel, the lawyer who repped Jackson at the time says under the law, the Department of Children and Family Services must conduct a parental fitness investigation before parental rights are terminated and that didn't happen with Rowe. So Rowe has never given up any of her parental rights. As a result, under California law, Rowe is now presumed to be the person who will get custody. The only way Rowe can be denied custody is if a court determines it would be "detrimental to the children."

As for whether Rowe will ask for custody .... our sources say you can bet on it. We're told if Rowe gets custody she will get "a huge amount of child support from Jackson's estate."

Farrah Fawcett's Son Did Not Get To Say Goodbye

Ryan O'Neal, Alana Stewart and her hairdresser, Mela, were at Farrah Fawcett's bedside at St. John's Medical Center in Santa Monica as she took her last breath.

But two of the most important men in Farrah's life were sadly missing. Her son, Redmond, and her elderly father, James, were unable to make it to her in time. "I am really worried about what's going to happen to Redmond now," a family friend says about Farrah's son, who has been in a court-ordered drug program since April.

"He is going to go through a severe depression once this sinks in, and then he is stuck there and no one is likely to go see him. It's pretty awful," adds the friend.

Flowers sent by Farrah's friends — including William Shatner, Candy Spelling and her Charlie's Angels co-stars — surrounded the beloved star.

Michael Jackson's Children Are Staying With Their Grandmother

After Michael Jackson's sudden passing, the singer's three children "are doing fine," says Brian Oxmon, the Jackson family attorney for 20 years.

"They are in the care of a nanny," he tells Us, adding that they're staying with their grandmother, Katherine. "Ms. Jackson will care for them and I'm sure there will be all kinds of discussions that will take place about the kids."

The children – Blanket, 7, Paris, 11, and Prince Michael, 12 - are "just beautiful," Oxmon says. "They're well-trained, well educated and extraordinarily talented. They get to play with their cousins and their nieces and their nephews. They are just smarter than smart can be."

(Paris and Prince Michael were born through artificial insemination when Jackson was briefly wed to Debbie Rowe. Prince Michael Jackson II's mother's identity was never released.)

Oxmon says Jackson family members are still struggling to cope with the shocking loss.
"They are stunned," "They are barely even able to speak about it."

Oxmon was with the family at the hospital (mother Katherine, brothers Randy and Jermaine, and sister LaToya, arrived separately at the hospital for vigil).

"They were silent, they were crying, they weren't really able to say anything," he says. "They just were stunned by this whole experience." Adds Oxmon, "I know that they are now all together."

Sarah Jessica Parker And Mathew Broderick Bring The Twins Home

SJP and Matthew Broderick checked out of East Ohio Regional Hospital with their newborn daughters on Thursday, hospital spokesperson Maggie Espina. "Yes, they are gone," says Espina.

According to a hospital employee, a maroon SUV and a white van were seen leaving the hospital around 11 a.m. escorted by numerous police cars with New York license plates. A hospital security guard told the employee "the babies left in that white van."

During their stay at the hospital, Parker, Broderick, their surrogate and daughters, Marion and Tabitha, were allowed lots of privacy – even from curious hospital workers. "It's really private up there," the employee said. "They've been using the service elevator [to move around.]"

Security was so tight on the second floor, where maternity ward is housed, that even the patients were in the dark. One woman whose daughter had a baby around the same time as the Hollywood couple's surrogate gave birth said: "Up on the floor everybody had to keep their doors shut. All the patients had to keep their doors shut."

On Thursday, several reporters as well as dozens of excited employees dressed in scrubs, waited outside the hospital doors with cameras and cell phones to try to get a sighting of the new family – without success. "Even the nurses are trying to get a glimpse" said one passerby who was visiting someone at the hospital. "The nurses are trying to get a peek, but even they cant."

Added one local Martin Ferry, Ohio resident: "We've never had anything this Hollywood!"

Though they didn't get to see the Sex and the City star, some local construction workers made a sign that they positioned outside the hospital referencing her famous HBO character. It reads: "Nice shoes Carrie, Congratulations!"

Madonna "Can't Stop Crying" Over The Sudden Death Of Michael Jackson

The sudden death of Michael Jackson jolted his friends and family, a second blow to the entertainment world after it lost another icon, Farrah Fawcett, just hours earlier.

"I can't stop crying over the sad news," Madonna says. "I have always admired Michael Jackson. The world has lost one of the greats, but his music will live on forever! My heart goes out to his three children and other members of his family. God bless."

Lisa Marie Presley, who was briefly married to Jackson in the mid-1990s, says, "I am so very sad and confused with every emotion possible. I am heartbroken for his children, who I know were everything to him, and for his family. This is such a massive loss on so many levels, words fail me."

"My heart is overcome with sadness for the devastating loss of my true friend Michael," adds Brooke Shields, who raised eyebrows when she briefly dated Jackson. "He was an extraordinary friend, artist and contributor to the world. I join his family and his fans in celebrating his incredible life and mourning his untimely passing."

Elizabeth Taylor, one of Jackson's closest and longstanding friends, was "too devastated" to issue a statement, her rep says, while Quincy Jones, who produced Jackson's biggest hits, says, "I am absolutely devastated at this tragic and unexpected news. For Michael to be taken away from us so suddenly at such a young age, I just don't have the words."

Cher, calling in to Larry King Live on CNN, shared many memories of Jackson, including dancing together on the Queen Mary and seeing the musical Dreamgirls together. "I am having a million reactions," said Cher. "When I think of him, I think of this young boy, this teenager I first met … He was a great teenager, optimistic and adorable."

Usher said, "I would not be the artist, performer, and philanthropist I am today without the influence of Michael." Jackson, he said, "transcended the culture. He broke barriers, he changed radio formats. With music, he made it possible for people like Oprah Winfrey and Barack Obama to impact the mainstream world. His legacy is unparalleled Michael Jackson will never be forgotten."

Whitney Houston, who has battled her own demons and is on the verge of a comeback, just as Jackson was, released a statement saying simply, "I am full of grief."

Actress Jane Fonda used Twitter to express her grief writing, "I am stunned. My friend, Michael Jackson is dead. He lived with me for a week on the Golden Pond set after 'Thriller.' "

In a statement Thursday afternoon Britney Spears said, "I was so excited to see his show in London. We were going to be on tour in Europe at the same time and I was going to fly in to see him. He has been an inspiration throughout my entire life and I'm devastated he's gone!"

Another star who was clearly influenced by Jackson, Justin Timberlake, also paid tribute to the pop star. "We have lost a genius and a true ambassador of not only Pop music but of all music," he wrote on his Web site. "He has been an inspiration to multiple generations and I will always cherish the moments I shared with him on stage and all of the things I learned about music from him and the time we spent together. My heart goes out to his family and loved ones."

On his Web site, former child actor Corey Feldman, who was once very close friends with Jackson, posted a statement mourning his old pal. "I come to you today with great sadness, acknowledging the loss of the greatest entertainer in the history of mankind. For me he was more than that, he was my idol, he was a role model, he was someone to cry to when my childhood was unbearable, he was a brother, he was a dear friend," Feldman writes. "Unfortunately Michael and I had a falling out on Septenmber 10th 2001 and that broken friendship had never been repaired … I am filled with tremendous sadness and remorse. All I choose to remember from this point is the good times we shared and what an inspiration he was to me and the rest of the world. Nobody will ever be able to do what Michael Jackson has done in this industry, and he was so close to doing it all again. I am truly, and deeply sorry for all of the heartbroken fans and supporters worldwide."

Michael Jackson Dies At Age 50

Michael Jackson, best known as the King of Pop, has died at the age of 50.

He went into cardiac arrest at his Holmby Hills home in L.A. Thursday (a 911 call was placed shortly before 12:30 p.m. PT), according to TMZ, which first reported the news. Paramedics were unable to revive the singer (who had no pulse upon their arrival), the site reports.
He was then rushed to UCLA Medical Center while in a deep coma before passing away, The Los Angeles Times reported. He was pronounced dead at 2:26 p.m. An autopsy is set for Friday.

Michael's father, Joe Jackson, confirmed to E! News his son had a heart attack. "He is not OK," he said. "His mother is on her way to the hospital now to check in on him."

According to X17, more than 10 members of Michael's entourage arrived at the hospital just after 1 p.m. PST after following the ambulance. "They all got out of the SUVs in a panic and Michael was wheeled into the emergency room on a stretcher," the site reports. "There was definitely a sense of urgency and everyone looked worried."

TMZ reports that his sister LaToya ran in the hospital sobbing after her brother was pronounced dead.

Looking back-Born Aug. 29, 1958, Michael Jackson was the seventh child of the famed Jackson family. He kicked off his career at age 11 as a child star in the band The Jackson 5. While still a member of group, he launched a solo career in 1971. Jackson went on to win 13 Grammys and boast 13 number one singles. His 1982 album Thriller remains the biggest-selling album of all time, with more than 26 million copies.

Jackson - who often wore a germ mask and kept a pet chimpanzee named Bubbles - also palled around with children at his Neverland ranch. In 2005, he was cleared of charges he molested a 13-year-old cancer survivor at Neverland in 2003.

In August 1994, Jackson wed Lisa Marie Presley but divorced in 1996. He went on to wed Debbie Rowe, a nurse. Two children were born through artificial insemination: Prince Michael Jackson, in 1997, and Paris Michael Jackson, in 1998. He also had a third child, Prince Michael Jackson II.

Jackson was set to headline 50 sold-out shows at London's O2 Arena beginning in July, billed "This Is It" -- his final London performances.

Angelina & Brad Are Keeping The Twins In Hiding?

Where are Vivienne and Knox? The twins will turn 1 on July 12 and they have only been spotted in public only since January, when they were rushed through an airport near Tokyo. Since then, they’ve remained in hiding leading to speculation that something could be wrong?

Now Life & Style has learned that Brad and Angelina have been seriously concerned about the twins’ health. The babies are suffering from serious digestive problems, says an insider close to the family. “They’re both hypersensitive,” the insider tells Life & Style. “Knox has trouble holding down his food. He spits up nearly every meal.” Vivienne, meanwhile, has food and environmental allergies, explains the insider: “Right now, she’s on a lactose and gluten-free diet, and she’s still underweight.”

Angelina, 34, and Brad, 45, have been so worried, they’ve had the twins undergo genetic testing and have been adamant about keeping them behind closed doors.

In truth, the real reason Brad and Angelina have been reluctant to take the twins out has to do with their own fears, says the insider. “Because of their delicate state, Knox and Vivienne need to be kept away from anything they could possibly be allergic to,” the insider explains. “That’s a lot easier to do when they’re home and in a controlled environment.”

Farrah Fawcett Dies Of Cancer At Age 62

We've learned Farrah Fawcett, 62, died at 9:28 AM today.

She was with longtime partner Ryan O'Neal and Alana Stewart at her bedside. She died at St. John's hospital in Santa Monica in the ICU. Also present -- Farrah's longtime friend and hairdresser, Mila Murphy, and Dr. Piero, who has been caring for her.Farrah's only child, Redmond, was not present. He's currently in jail. A petition will have to be filed for Redmond to be able to attend the funeral -- as of now, this hasn't happened.

The "Charlie's Angels" star was diagnosed with anal cancer back in 2006.

Ryan O'Neal just released the following:

"She's now with her mother and sister and her God. I loved her with all my heart. I will miss her so very, very much. She was in and out of consciousness. I talked to her all through the night. I told her how very much I loved her. She's in a better place now." Added O'Neal: "She was with her team when she passed ... Her eyes were open, but she didn't say anything. But you could see in her eyes that she recognized us."

Though O'Neal recently said that he and Fawcett had planned to wed, they did not tie the knot. "There just wasn't time, and Farrah wasn't in any condition to do it," says O'Neal. Friends and family plan to honor Fawcett with a funeral service at a Catholic cathedral in Los Angeles in the next few days.

Joey McIntyre, hearthrob from New Kids On the Block, is encouraging fans to donate to his new charity foundation called "Let's Get This". Donations will be accepted on the New Kids on the Block tour.

First Book is teaming up with the New Kid's crew by sending a book to a child in need for every $2 donated on the tour. Not only will needy children get a book but Joey McIntyre will be giving out vouchers to everyone who donates to the "Lets Get This Foundation" that will be good for a free download of his latest song, Five Brothers and Million Sisters.

McIntyre's charity is playing off of a famous New Kids on the Block album, Step by Step, in order to explain the focus of the charities efforts. Books are just the first "step" in what the "Let's Get This Foundation" hopes to provide those in need and the first of many steps that will be taken to give back. The book drive will take place during the New Kids on the Block Full Service Summer Tour and volunteers will be accepting book donations before the shows.

Sarah Jessica Parker And Mathew Broderick Welcome Twin Girls Marion & Tabitha

The latest additions to the Parker-Broderick family have arrived!

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick’s surrogate delivered twin girls — Marion Loretta Elwell Broderick and Tabitha Hodge Broderick — at 3:58 p.m. on Monday, June 22nd in Ohio. Marion weighed in at 5 lbs., 11 oz, while Tabitha was 6 lbs.

Both Hodge and Elwell are family names on Sarah Jessica’s side. “The babies are doing beautifully and the entire family is over the moon,” the couple said in a statement released this afternoon.

Marion and Tabitha, who were due in July, join big brother James Wilkie, 6 ½. Sarah Jessica, 44, and Matthew, 47, have been married 12 years.

The couple announced the pregnancy and sexes of the babies in April, but the news came at a price. Concerned for the safety of the surrogate carrying the babies, Sarah Jessica spoke out in May, imploring the public to respect the woman’s privacy. Still, the family remained excited, with Matthew telling David Letterman, “I’m nervous just even thinking about it, but it’s girls … two little girls."

Jon And Kate Gosselin Speak Out About Divorce Proceedings

After filing papers Monday, Kate told The Associated Press:

"Over the course of this weekend, Jon's activities have left me no choice but to file legal procedures in order to protect myself and our children." She added that "it was appropriate and necessary" for her to initiate this proceeding but refused to discuss why.

In a statement to Entertainment Tonight, Jon says:

"Yesterday, Kate filed for divorce. Our kids are still my No. 1 priority. I love them and want to make sure they stay happy, healthy and safe. "My job is being the best, most supportive and loving father that I can be to my kids, and not being married to Kate doesn't change that. This will be a difficult transition for all of us, but Kate and I will work out a schedule that enables our kids to have plenty of quality time with both of us at home in Pennsylvania. I am deeply saddened that we are divorcing, and also hurt by the statement Kate made last night about the divorce. I have always done everything I can to protect our family. The one thing I do agree with in Kate's statement is her desire to resolve things amicably. Before ending his statement, Jon said his Father's Day last weekend was one of his best ones yet because, "I was home with the kids for four days, just being a dad. No nannies, just the kids and me. In fact, with the exception of Aaden's visit to the doctor, I couldn't have imagined a better way to spend Fathers Day weekend."

In divorce papers filed Monday - the same day they announced the split to record ratings on their TLC show - Kate said her marriage to Jon is "irretrievably broken."

While filing for a no-fault divorce in Pennsylvania's Montgomery County Court, she also said she is willing to "negotiate a fair and reasonable" settlement with him.

Ten days after their 10th wedding anniversary, Jon and Kate Gosselin announced on their hit TLC reality show that they are splitting. Legal proceedings to dissolve their marriage began Monday.

"Kate and I have decided to separate," a candid Jon announced, calling Monday's episode his "hardest" show ever. "It's just not good for us to be arguing in front of our kids. ... We can't be cordial with one another." While Kate said she is "not fond of the idea," she knows it is "necessary."

She said she will remain at their $1.1 million home in Reading, Pa., and "Jon will also come here when it is his days, and we will flip-flop that way." Though she said this is not what she wants for their kids, "My goal is peace." With tears in her eyes, she added, "If peace needs to be brought about by this, then I'm in agreement."

Jon called the split "a shame," adding, "I will always love her as the mother of my kids." "We're not running away from them," he said of their kids. "We're just living our separate lives and coming back and being with them."

Kate said she is trying to stay positive. "There's a lot of happiness in the past," she said. "I hope that happiness continues. ... You can find happiness if you look hard enough in any situation."

As for the future of the show, they will continue to interview separately, as they have done so far this season. Jon - who has been eyeing apartments in New York City - said he doesn't know if he'll remain on the show, as he could get a new job. ("I'm only 32 years old," he said. "I don't know what's going to happen." He also said he is "excited" about starting a new chapter in his life.)

But Kate said, "The show must go on. I will continue to be here, be with the kids, do the same things I've always done with them." Kate said what "worries" her the most about their split is living with "the label that we failed -- how that will affect our kids; how they'll be another statistic; how they'll say, 'My parents split up when I was fill-in-the-blank age.'" "I don't want to be alone," Kate added of raising 8-year-old twins, Madelyn and Cara, and 5-year-old sextuplets, Aaden, Joel, Collin, Hannah, Leah and Alexis. "But it's required and I've got to do it."

A big issue for the couple: Jon said he was always "too passive" during his marriage to Kate. "I just let her rule the roost and do whatever she wanted to do," he explained. "Now I've finally stood up on my own two feet, and I'm proud of myself."

Tension between the two was palpable at the beginning of Monday's show as the family installed playhouses from the Kids Crooked House company. The couple clashed over where the playhouses should go. Jon cleared land deep in the woods - an area he thought would be safe because the paparazzi wouldn't be able to photograph the kids. Kate didn't object initially, but when she saw where the houses would be located, she got upset.

"I was concerned that they would never go down there, and if they did, an adult would need to go with them," she said. "To have an adult walk down there is not always feasible."
She said she feared communicating her concern with Jon: "My stomach is turning because i know this is going to cause a huge fight." "Any flak he receives turns into a huge blowup," she explained. "I just didn't want to rock the boat, yet I wanted to do the right thing for my kids."

When she broached the subject with Jon, he snapped, "I cleared all the land - that's where they're going. Goodbye." So Kate ended up asking the men from the playhouse company to tell Jon that the houses were too far away.

Said Kate, "In the end, he relented and gave in and said that was fine. I guess it was because it wasn't me that was suggesting it directly to him, possibly."

Kate And Jon Gosselin Divorce Papers Filed!

After months of speculation, the 10-year marraige of Jon & Kate Plus Eight's stars Kate and Jon Gosselin appears to be coming to an end.

Documents to initiate a legal split were filed at the Bucks County Courthouse in Reading, Pa., Monday afternoon.

Fans who have watched the couple's popular TLC show – or read the voluminous coverage of the Gosselin marriage in the press – will hardly be surprised: The duo had long maintained a tense relationship, with Jon recently saying he wanted a less high-profile life, while Kate appeared to remain committed to their TV career.

In February, photos surfaced of Jon in the company of young women during a solo visit to see his mother, who was recuperating from surgery, in Huntingdon, Pa. The couple quickly attempted to squash rumors of problems. But in May, the scandal erupted again when 23-year-old Deanna Hummel was photographed driving Jon's car home from a bar late at night. When the fifth season of the Gosselins' show premiered May 25, the couple admitted to having problems and not knowing where their relationship was headed.

"Parents of multiples have triple the divorce rate," Kate said through tears. "I was thinking we were going to beat that. I don't know if I can say that anymore."

TLC promotions of the show are promising a major announcement about the family in tonights episode of Jon & Kate Plus Eight.

Mercy James Joins Madonna In London

After a grueling months-long adoption process, Madonna's new daughter has finally joined the star in London. Chifundo "Mercy" James flew from her native Malawi on a private jet headed for London, the Associated Press reports on Saturday.

An airport employee and a person familiar with Madonna's adoption proceedings said the 3-year-old left late Friday. The girl was reportedly accompanied on the flight by a nanny, a child nurse and a third assistant.

A week ago, Malawi's highest court overturned an April lower court decision and ruled that Madonna could adopt Mercy, the second child she has adopted from the African country.
The previous ruling claimed she had not spent enough time in the country. The high court, however, said the first judge had imposed too narrow a definition of residency, and lauded Madonna for her work with children in a poor country where half a million have lost a parent to AIDS.

Mercy should have reached London, where Madonna has a home, Saturday morning, the AP reports. She will join Madonna's other children, David, the son she adopted from Malawi last year, and Lourdes, 12, and Rocco, 8.

Jon Minus Kate Talks To Fans On Fathers Day

Father's Day weekend for the Gosselins was just Jon and the eight, but some lucky fans got some quality time with the reality TV dad as well.

Jon Gosselin spent the weekend with his kids – Cara, Mady, Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel – at their Wernersville, Penn., home, playing lacrosse and setting up a Slip 'N Slide for them on the front lawn before talking to fans who showed up at his front gate.

He also fielded a range of questions from whether he is getting divorced to what he got for Father's Day (homemade cards from his kids, which he had not yet opened). He deferred questions on rumors of his marriage ending and his apartment hunting in New York, simply saying "You'll have to watch the show."

Kate Gosselin was not home all weekend and Jon told the media gathered outside that he had "no idea" where she is. The impromptu meet and greet began with four giggling teen-age girls pulling up to the house and screaming, "Happy Father's Day Jon!" He turned and waved and said, "Thank you."

A few minutes later he walked out of the house with a stack of family pictures and began signing them for each girl – plus other fans who were driving by and stopped. Jon also talked about how son Aaden hurt himself Saturday by hitting his head on a corner while running around the house. "They stitched it up and he's fine," he said, adding that his Father's Day present from his kids is "spending time with them."
