Christina Aguilera and Boyfriend Arrested!

L.A. County Sheriff's Department confirms that Christina Aguilera, 30, was arrested early Tuesday morning in West Hollywood -- along with her boyfriend, Matthew Rutler.

At 2:45 a.m. Rutler, 25, was arrested for driving under the influence and the singer was booked on a misdemeanor charge of public intoxication.

"They were cooperative, no problems at all," Sgt. Michael Thomas of West Hollywood Sheriff's Department confirmed of the arrest. Aguilera was taken into custody "for her own safety. It's kind of a welfare 'arrest.' Not a criminal arrest. She was intoxicated -- too much to be in public. No one was available to take care of her, because the person she was with was arrested for drunk driving. When it's determined she's sober, she'll be released."

According to the L.A. Times, Aguilera's bail was set to $250; Rutler's bail is $30,000.

Ever since Aguilera and husband Jordan Bratman (they have a 3-year-old son Max) split up last September it seems as though she has been out of control!
