Whitney Houston And Daughter Bobbi Kristina Arrive At Newark Airport

On September 14th Oprah Winfrey will open her new season on the couch with Whitney Houston in what the show is calling “the most anticipated music interview of the decade.”

After years away from the spotlight, Whitney Houston returns with a new album slated for release August 31st, and will give Ms. Winfrey the honor of a rare sit-down to mark The Oprah Winfrey Show's 24th season.

Since her infamous Diane Sawyer interview in 2002, Houston has shied away from media one-on-ones where celebrities are expected to share intimate details of their personal lives. The Sawyer Primetime special spawned the oft-repeated Houston phrase, “Crack is wack,” that she’s still probably trying to live down.

Houston has taken time off from recording to raise her 16-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina, and manage her personal affairs – including a high-profile divorce from R&B singer Bobby Brown – Houston says she has appreciated her fans’ support over the years and is looking forward to a successful return to music.
