Coronation Street Alison King Has A Baby Girl

Coronation Street actress Alison King is celebrating after giving birth to her first child.

The 35-year-old star, who plays factory boss Carla Connor in the hit soap, welcomed a baby girl earlier today. King and her partner Adam Huckett, a sound assistant on Corrie, became the proud parents of a 6lbs 7oz tot in a Manchester hospital.

'No name has been decided on yet but mum and baby are doing well.

Alison said her partner Adam, who she started dating in 2007, is hoping to have five children with her. She said: 'He's like "Come on, King. Knock em out!" I'd like more but I just want to concentrate on this one first.'

During her pregnancy, Alison admitted she had cravings for tubes of squeezable cheese.
