Cancer Stricken Jade Goody's Big Day Was Filled With Tears & Laughter
Jade Goody who has only weeks to live, wanted to make her dream wedding come true and she's done just that! She wanted this to be a day her sons, Bobby Jack, 5, and Freddie, 4, would remember forever. Jade said to a pal, "I will be watching my boys from heaven. I’ve told my family I will be the brightest star."
Following advice from specialist grief counselors, Jade has labeled her cancer cells as "tadpoles," to help her young sons better understand what is going on. Jade told her boys, "The tadpoles are getting stronger." She's told her oldest son that she won't be around much longer, but has kept that from Freddie as he's still too young to understand.
A friend said, "She hasn't told Bobby explicitly that she's going to die, but she had no choice but to tell him she's certainly not getting any better."
Jade wanted her wedding day to be a day her little boys would cherish and remember - she's so afraid that they'll forget her.
Her rep said the wedding ceremony was filled with "tears and laughter."Jade arrived late for her 12:30 p.m. wedding, as is tradition and her rep said, "They are now man and wife." "It was lovely. The chapel was absolutely beautiful and I imagine there must be close to 200 people there. When they came out having signed the register they got a standing ovation from everybody there. It was just a very heart-rending, happy ceremony with lots of tears and lots of smiles and lots of laughter."
He added that Jade was excited about today, but needed medical attention the night before. However, Jade was able to stand for 45 minutes of the ceremony and asked to sit for the final five minutes.
