Kate Gosselin's Brother & Sister-In-Law Say Children Are Being Exploited
UPDATE: E! News has reported that Kate Gosselin's brother Kevin Kreider has been shopping his tell-all take on the situation to media outlets for $30,000!
Ironically, Kreide appeared today on CBS' Early Show with his equally outraged and camera-ready wife, Jodi, complaining that the strained reality couple's eight children were being "exploited" and treated as "a commodity."
The Kreiders, on the other hand, insist they're now coming forward not just to fill their bank account, but out of concern for the kids.
We'll say this, YEAH RIGHT!
Kate Gosselin's brother and his wife, Kevin and Jodi Kreider, sat down on "The Early Show" Wednesday to say they believe "Jon & Kate Plus 8" is child exploitation.
The pair used to be close to the Gosselins and their brood, appearing in early episodes and frequently babysitting. But as the show grew, the pair say they became uncomfortable with the year-round filming, even in the kids' bedrooms.
"They're being exploited," Jodi said. "And it's time for America to see the situation for what it really is, which is unfortunately, there are to laws protecting children in reality TV shows. And it's time for the public to be aware of this."
But they worry it is unlikely to stop, saying Jon and Kate are "very blinded by all of this media and... fame and the fortune."
And for the FIFTH week in a row, Jon & Kate Plus 8 mom Kate Gosselin takes the cover of Us Weekly.
The magazine claims “[Kate] used to give [husband Jon] only $5 to spend, and if he was out and needed more money, she would give him hell,” says his former employer at Style Craft Corp, David Rothermel. “She came in raising hell [one day in the office] because Jon’s father was supposed to bring her lunch and he was late. She got up out of bed rest to come in and yell at anyone who would listen!”
Almost 10 million people tuned in on Monday to watch the season premiere of J&K+8. Will you be tuning in next week??
