Katie Holmes Looked Exhausted & Dishevelled As She Steps Out For Dinner With Tom & Step Daughter

Things seem to be going from bad to worse for exhausted Katie Holmes after she went out for dinner looking bedraggled and anything but an A-list star.

The actress shocked onlookers after she was seen out in Los Angeles without a scrap of make-up and sporting unbrushed, greasy-looking hair. It was a far cry from the svelte star's usual glamorous and groomed appearance.

The 30-year-old ventured out for dinner on Saturday night with husband Tom Cruise and his adoptive daughter Isabella from his previous relationship to Nicole Kidman.

The mother-of-one is said to be tired and worn due to a gruelling detox diet and juggling work commitments with motherhood.

She is currently filming a new movie The Extra Man after finishing a tiring stint on Broadway of the Arthur Miller play All My Sons. She was pictured breaking down in the streets of New York last week as part of scenes she was filming for the flick with rising star Paul Dano.

As well as a hectic workload, she is also undergoing a punishing detox diet, apparently as a prelude to having a second child. It was said to be the reason why she stayed away from last week's Oscars ceremony because the regime had left her feeling lethargic.

The diet consists of herbal drinks and a purification procedure to eliminate toxic substances.
‘Katie has almost rid her body of toxins but sometimes it makes her lethargic,’ a source told the Mail. ‘Tom’s encouraging her to stick to the diet because they are hoping to conceive baby number two.’The source said Katie is following the teachings of the Scientology Second Dynamic, a book that advises on conception and marriage.
