Eddie Cibrian Denies Affair With LeAnn Rimes

Earlier today we showed you this weeks Us Weekly cover where they reported that LeAnn Rimes was having a secret affair with her "Northern Lights" costar Eddie Cibrian. Well, Eddie is now dismissing rumors.

Eddie has been leaning on friends for support all morning after the story broke, according to a close friend. Eddie is denying the rumors, telling him "LeAnn and I are friends, we went to dinner, that's it. The most ridiculous thing is that people believe I would do something like this period ... much less do it in a public place. The false accusations are obviously causing a rift at home, but me and my family will get through this together."

We wish Eddie and wife, model Brandi Glanville and their children all the best in dealing with this little set back.

The timing on this story just seemed a little odd to both us and the actor in the eye of the storm. "LeAnn and I just shot a movie together so it is a bit bizarre that the timing on this is so close," he's been telling friends.

LeAnn (along with the Twitter comment released from husband Dean) has also released a statement on her website saying "I would like to assure all of you that this is a place for you to hear things directly from me and as you all know, not everything in our lives is always black and white."
